Game Recap:

This years Tournament Warta had to play with mostly "B" Team players as last minute cancellations eliminated some first teammates. 

The first game Warta played the hosts Wings, loosing 0:1.  It was a fast tempo soccer by both sides, Warta had the first scoring chance off a free kick when Rafal Nachajskis' shot just missing the upper ninety by an inch.  Minute later that player was taken out of the game with an ankle injury.  The loss of this player was the turnaround point and a huge hole on the team.  But it did not stop there, Bart Laseks' free kick sailed right thru the defense and pass the keeper but it bounced off an inner part of the post and back onto the field, NO GOAL.  Wing got their just minute before the first half as a ball was sent to the penalty box and in a huge mix up the ball crossed the line giving the hosts a lead. 

The second half was mostly same as first, with both teams creating chances but failing to score.  Sarnowski had a great chance to equalize but his one touch shot went over the bar.

Second game Warta got an easy three points as Dynamo Minnesota failed to show up for the game.

On Sunday morning Warta had two games to play. The first game was against Fortuna which Warta won by the score of 1:0 as Stanislaw Radzik earned the three points for his team.  Warta was in full control of this game but could not place the ball in the net, later a great thru ball found Radzik as he gave no chance to the keeper.

Second game Warta played Lions and was in a must win situation.  While being down 0:3 in the first half, the team came alive in the second and gave a great run but came out short.  While playing catch up with a 2:3 score Chlebowicz made a costly mistake in the back giving Lions 2:4 lead as ex Warta striker Maros Havran scored.  The final 10 minutes was all Warta, Stephenson kept the score within a goal as his long range shot sailed into the net.  Minutes later a great scoring chance and equalize had Wojciech Worek, as his header missed a close range just wide of the post.

The young players off Warta B team proved themselves very well in this competition.
