WARTAS' TITLE HOPES SLIM DOWN WITH DEFEAT;

Warta with another poor performance as they see their hopes for title race slip away with a defeat to Gazelle SC.

Bukola Abdulwahab opened the scoring for Warta in the 13th minute of play but 3 minutes later home side equalized and took the lead in 24th minute of play.

Warta equalized on Favella's free kick goal in the 27th minute, but Gazelle found took advantage of poor defending in the 39th as they finished off the first half scoring.


Second half Warta started to try and build the momentum, but 10 minutes into the half, Gazelle increased their lead and that was enough to put Warta on their heals.

The home side scored two more goals to put the nail in Wartas coffin as they failed to respond in timely manner to their very poor performance on the night.
