Warta "A" vs
SAC Wisla (3 : 6)
Friday December 30, 2011 - Odeum Expo Sports
Center - Villa Park, Illinois
NSL League Game:
Warta
looses the Polish Derby on the last game of the 2011 Year!
Poor start to the game and moments of
setbacks caused Warta to loose their derby match
against SAC Wisla with a 3:6 score.
Aaron Romo added a goal to his previous
four to give him 5 tallies in three games as Bart Lasek and
Edwin Martinez added one apiece to the scoring sheet but mistakes allowed
Wisla to score six on the night.

Very slow start to the game from
Warta
as they found themselves down by three goals in the first half with one coming
off a power play goal after Juinor Aguilar was penalized with four minutes for a
harsh tackle. During the first ten minutes,
Warta played shorthanded on few occasions, Bart Lasek first and then
got away with just warning, but during his penalty Wisla failed to score a goal.
In the second half, Warta came to life and
played fantastic for a moment in which they chased a 0:3 deficit to a 3:3 draw
on goals from Romo, Lasek and Martinez.
With the momentum going in their favor, costly mistake by the keeper and
a defenseman put them goal behind. At that moment,
Warta
had to chase the opponent once again, but poor marking and defending allowed
them to score two more goals before the night was over.
Warta still in
a playoff chase as Hellenic Blue also lost on the night but though matches lay
ahead in the next couple of weeks with one of them against league leading Adria
and the Hellenic United Blue.
Warta are looking to improve on their mistakes and become
one of the top candidates to reach the playoffs but need to regain their
confidence back and set themselves on the right track once again.

CKS Warta "B" 3 : 4
West Bosnia SC
Warta B gave up a lead to loose at
the end!
Warta
lead the entire game just to see their effort be spoiled late in the game.
Goals from Grabowski, Cichowski and
Petrovsky was not enough to defeat
West Bosnia as they dropped the decision by
the score of 3:4..
Still without some of their best players,
Warta
controlled the game until the last few minutes of the game.
While leading 3:2 with minutes left, Cichowski received a blue card and Bosnia leveled.
Warta kept pounding on the goal but couldn’t get the ball to get
past the keeper, and with seconds left on the clock, quick counter by the
opponents set the score in their favor by scoring the winning goal.
