Warta "A" vs
FK Rep. Serpska (0 : 4)
Friday January 27, 2011 - Odeum Expo Sports
Center - Villa Park, Illinois
NSL League Game:
FK Republika Serpska
pushes
Warta down to
fifth place with a win!
Warta
gets blanked 4:0 by FK Rep. Srpska and pushes them down to
fifth place in standings increasing their playoff distance.
Warta dropped
crucial points against Serpska as their playoff chase distances even more making
it difficult to play a catch up. Once again lack of
scoring goals was the major factor to todays defeat, as Warta took lot of shots on goal but neither one went in.
Gui Nunes returned to the lineup, but even with his
presence the team lacked on scoring goals.
A win would have closed down the playoff distance within
one point once again as Hellenic United Blue lost as well to group leading RWB
Adria.
Entire game Warta
had most of the possession on Serpska half of the field and controlled the game,
but it was the opponents who scored goals off counter attacks.
At a moment Warta
had two forwards on the pitch for certain amount of time to change the momentum
of the game, but even then they didn’t score any goals.
Few shots landed on the crossbar or upright or
just inches off target, and the rest were somehow saved by the keeper who played
the best game of this season so far.
At the other end, Warta
used both of their keepers Torres and Gomes, but neither one was to blame for
any goals as they were left helpless by their defense at moments.
With six more games remaining on the season, Warta has though games ahead of them as they will make the
final run for playoffs but need to put their best performance and goal scoring
game back in line..
Game Roster: Torres
(Gomez) – Blancas, Badin, Aguierre, Guzman, Romo – Castanon, Rogoz, Rosendo,
Giamalis, Nunes – Wotring..
CKS Warta "B" 1 : 6
Assyrian FC
Warta B looses huge to group leading
Assyrian FC!!
Warta B dropped
another game by a huge score as they lost to first place Assyrian FC Team 1:6..
Andrew Nuno scored the only goal for the team, who are looking to get back on
track after a series of looses..
Trailing 0:2 in first half, Warta
missed a great chance to turn the game around from the penalty kick on a foul in
the box on Agbejule. Agbejule himself took the penalty but
his shot was high off the boards. Warta
continued on the power play which they executed well but failed to score the
goal. Nuno finally put his team on the scoreboard but that one
goal deficit didn’t last long as Assyrians took advantage of a mistake in
defensive line to regain the two goal lead back once again.
With 1:3 score at the half, Warta
knew they had to open the game up even more in the second frame of the match
which gave the opponents chance to score more goals.
Warta had other chances to
score goals as well but failed to do so on the final decisive moments.
Few shots landed just inches off target but poor defending
and selfish plays contributed to todays defeat.
Opponents were much better team at every aspect of the
game, but Wara did not deserve to loose by this huge margin of goals.
