Warta "A" vs  FK Tirana (1:2)

Final Seconds dropped Warta to second place!!

 That’s what it took Warta to lose possession of first place in a single game, the final two seconds of the match.  In a game for first place, Warta faced FK Tirana which was the match of the year thus far.  Unfortunately, Tirana got their winning goal on the final seconds of the game after Warta players pushed forward for the win.  A draw would have kept Warta still in first and with three points ahead of Albanian Tirana, but the costly irresponsible mistake dropped them down to second, even on points but worst on head to head.

 It was a game best game played by both teams, Warta with just three men on the bench created most of the chances in the first half of the game, but a spectacular goalkeeping by the opposing keeper made it hard to score.  Half way thru the game what should have been a red card for Tirana keeper fouling Wilczewski on a clear goal scoring chance was penalized with just two minutes and Warta failed to score.  Finally, a great counter attack by Wilczewski and an accurate pass to Lukasz Borys gave Warta the lead with just a minute left in the first half.

 The second half, Warta playing off counter attacks created couple more chances, most of them being one on one but came out empty.  Tirana equalized on a mismatch in coverage allowing the Albanian team to level.  Right after the 1:1 score, the game became more and more a game which relied on who would make the first mistake.  Unfortunately it was Warta who with 11 seconds to the end of the game pushed up the field rushing for the win opened up the back field for a counter attack which Tirana took full advantage off sending Warta to second place in standings.

Warta "B" vs  Stal Mielec (2:2)

Warta B drew even with Stal Mielec:

 Warta B twice came from behind to equalize against much improving Stal Mielec.  After a 1:2 first half on a score by Alan Marin, Arturo Morales squeezed one in under poor keeping Mielec keeper to split the points with a 2:2 tie.

Warta "C" vs  Real Independiente (2:2)  

Warta C with 9 men draws even with Independiente:.

 Warta C with just 9 men managed to draw even at 2:2 against Independiente on two goals by Andrzej Jarzabek.  Twice the team had to bounce back from being down a goal to earn a well fought point on poor executed game.

Warta should have pulled out a surprised win in the final seconds, but the shot and the rebound was off target.
